Looking for a light natural oil to use instead of that silicone product for your ends? My current favorite is Sea Buckthorn Oil.

Sea Buckthorn oil is obtained Hippophae rhamnoides, commonly known as the sea buckthorn. A flowering shrub that produces orange colored berries. Their bright orange color is a sign of the high carotenoid, just like carrots . It contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, E, K and P, carotenoids, flavonoids, amino acids, phenols, folic acid, organic acids, and 20 mineral elements, not to mention its essential fatty acid profile. It may be the only plant in the world to contain all 4 fatty acids..which is what makes it so special!

If anyone compliments me on my skin and asks what I use I claim this to be my second favorite thing for my skin. I discovered how much I love it for hair when I had a bit in my hands that I scrunched into my ends. It had a seemingly weightless healing power. Fatty acids are super important for skin/scalp health helping heal dry ends without being greasy,  and you only need a drop. I currently use cocoa butter in salonsolids for it’s weightless moisture/ fatty acid content and will be incorporating sea buckthorn oil soon!

If you’re looking for a recommended brand I’ve used a few and my favorite by far is by Mountain Rose Herbs.

Note- If you’re super blonde be aware it’s got an orange tint to it.
