Granules that become a gentle, lathering shampoo when you add hot water. Made in Seattle since 2012 from plant-based, organic ingredients, with nothing that comes from petroleum.
Spoon about a quarter packet into the jar, or empty a 2 oz packet.
Add 2 oz of hot water, or hot tea.
Stir until the granules have fully dissolved.
Use within a month. For one wash, rub about ¼ teaspoon of granules with water in your hands.
Organic quillaja saponaria (a natural surfactant), organic acacia gum, organic amla extract, organic molasses extract, organic guar gum, organic sea moss, sodium phytate (a natural chelator), organic aspen bark, organic plant extracts and the essential oil of your scent.
This is seriously the cleanest shampoo and the most sustainable. It works so well. I highly recommend this. Also, the owner is amazing at answering any questions. I love how high quality her products are and how silky my hair gets.
I'm so grateful for this shampoo. I've started making zero waste switches many years ago and bars were usually my go to. Over the past year I developed an allergy to coconut and any coconut-derived ingredient. It is nearly impossible to find a waste friendly option without an ingredient that irritates me and the ones that had ingredients I could use made my hair feel stripped and lifeless. This cleans gently yet thoroughly, smells amazing, and has brought my hair back to life! I have thick, long, wavy hair that struggles retaining moisture and dries out easily from harsh ingredients. My very sensitive scalp also feels less dry and irritated from being stripped.
Love this shampoo. I have her make me a custom blend with sea moss and my hair is so silky and soft. I wasn't expecting it to work so well. She is also amazing at answering any questions. Highly recommend this product

I've been using Salon Solids Shampoo and Condition for about a year now and love the products. I sought out a low tox, eco friendly shampoo and am ecstatic I found this product. My hair is healthy and I'm happy knowing that I've eliminated one more toxin from my routine.
I used SS for a few months and LOVED it but then decided to cancel my subscription to save a few dollars and bought a different "organic natural" shampoo and immediately my scalp reacted so I went straight back to SS and restarted my subscription. I'm so in love with ALL of the SalonSolids products! Sarah was amazing at customizing my styler to be extra hard hold, which my hair needs. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the shampoo. I didn't expect much, but I was BLOWN AWAY at how moisturizing and cleansing this product is. Not stripping at all, but my scalp felt so fresh and clean! Will absolutely be repurchasing forever.
I found that when I moved to a house that was on well water my hair started to become dry and at the same time so caked with sediment that I could hardly get a brush though it. It sounds awful, but my long, previously easily managed hair became an unmanageable gooey mess. So much so that I was pulling out handfuls when I tried to get a brush through it. I finally cut a lot off, just to avoid spending more than an hour every day brushing it to prevent the matts from forming. My future was looking grim. I had bought some of this shampoo at a fair at Alive and Shine center, but had not used it since I moved. I ran out of shampoo one day, and realized that I had some left in the container, so I used it. I was absolutely astonished. It stripped all the gooey, thick sediment from my previously soft, easily managed hair and returned it to its original state. I was literally astonished. Thank you for creating this amazing shampoo!!
I love this shampoo. I’ve been using bar shampoos for about a year for the low waste aspect but often times they are harsher then I like for my delicate hair. Salon solids shampoo is amazing. It gets the job done without stripping my hair. I love the low waste aspect of it. Will be purchasing the full size.
I was initially interested in this shampoo because of it's eco-friendly, no-waste packaging. Little did I know when I ordered it that it would also be the absolute best shampoo I've ever used. I have fine hair and this shampoo gives it more body than I've ever had. It has also performed very well in dry, cold winter weather that used to leave my hair full of static. Not any more!
I’ve been using this shampoo in mint for at least 6 months now and love it! Easy to mix together, smells wonderful, provides a gentle but thorough cleanse for my loose CGM process! I love being able to refill my stainless steel pump bottles with this. My hair is shiny and scalp clean. Plus, Sarah is super helpful if you have questions about the product! 5/5 recommend!
Love, love, love this shampoo. It is light weight, doesn’t leave a sticky residue, my hair is soft with a nice shine and easy to style. I love that it is eco friendly and I can change up the scent seasonally. I have been using this product for years and have to say, since using I rarely loose or find any hair in the shower. Also note my hair has held its color. I’ve never had to color my hair and often wonder if it’s because I’m not stripping it with a bunch of harsh chemicals.
I am obsessed! It is hard to find a good, sustainable shampoo/conditioner, but I love this stuff. I like to wash my hair at least twice with it and I wait a few days between washes to protect my natural oils. It leaves my hair feeling so healthy and light, and there is absolutely no residue left like with other shampoos/conditioners. My hair has NEVER felt healthier!
I don't normally write reviews, but I feel compelled to share how much I love Salonsolids product. I have been using them for several years now and they just keep getting better and better. The shampoo is great on all hair types, I have fine hair and it doesn't weigh it down or leave any "film". I actually use a little and love that I can keep refilling my glass bottle when I need more. It's so easy! The other thing I love is that Salonsolids offers several scents so I can mix it up seasonally. My favorites are Citrus, Clove and Frankincense. The most important part of it all is that they don't use any chemicals! If you haven't tried the product yet, do it. You won't regret it. I promise.
I love love love this shampoo! It’s a good gentle shampoo but also feels cleansing. A very little goes a long way. The mint has a nice soft smell, not too strong and almost like a vanilla mint.
I absolutely love this shampoo! It is, without a doubt, the best product I have ever used on my fine, thin hair. My hair is now thicker and full of body. I only need to shampoo every three days. I use a bit of the dry shampoo, another fabulous product, on the in-between days. No more bad hair days. What a relief!
If I could give salon solids a 10 star rate, I would. My curly hair looks fabulous with these products. It is a bonus that the product packaging doesn't add plastic to the environment. All that and I feel good that I'm not putting a bunch of questionable chemicals in my hair. Traveling is a cinch since I can carry the dry product and add liquid at my destination. Makes getting through airport security easier. My preference is to support small individual businesses over large corporations. This product checks that box as well. I often get compliments on my hair and freely offer advice that it is due in no small part to Salon Solids products.
I love Salon Solids shampoo. I have been able to reduce my shampooing over time from daily to twice a week with Sarah’s products. My hair has become thicker, healthier and now also grows faster! I also see less hair in the drain from Salon Solids shampoos than with any other shampoo I have ever used. This is the only shampoo I now use!
